| | Posted: | | | | Now that I'm using the Database Query plugin I'm able to see totals in my collection for language within Audio Track.
The problem I have is this: I'd like to be able to separate dubbed auto tracks from not, and I don't know if that's possible now.
In a related issue, you have the option for selecting "Commentary" as content, but that removes any option for identifying the language of the commentary.
So I'm thinking that could have a radio button for commentary vs dubbed and then identify the language of the content separately.
Where there's a single audio track and multiple languages spoken in the feature, it might be nice to have a way of distinguish the primary language spoken, plus other languages spoken making up 10 percent or more of the dialog. Something like that anyway.
This has likely been discussed before, but I didn't find it with my initial search attempts. |

| | Posted: | | | | I think this is a great idea. The existing FR asks for a field that describes the content of the track, like "commentary". This info could go in the same field, like this:
English - Original Language
English - Commentary
German - Dubbed Track
In earlier days you might have gone by CoO for his info but by now we have too many co-productions and cross-world finances to derive the original languge from a CoO | | | Karsten

I've always found these to be in the same language as the locality of the DVD. At least for German releases of Multi-Region DVDs (BluRays) this sadly isn't true. Most of the Audio Descriptive Tracks you will find here are in the original language of the Feature. I have several locality Finland releases with English audio descriptive tracks, but I don't remember ever seen a release with Finnish audio descriptive track.
