| | Posted: | | | | I have a small library of about 350 DVD's and Blu-rays. I've started to purchase movies online thru Amazon, iTunes, CinemaNow, and Ultraviolet. It would be helpful to be able to track which movies I have on which services, and which I have on DVD and Blu-ray. Some digital copies are HD, and some are only SD. |

| | Posted: | | | | Thanks for the suggestion. I tried adding a few: iTunes, Amazon, and Ultraviolet. Ran into a couple of issues.
I can only mark DVD's I already own with a custom media type, not add a new movie that's only digital. I have a few that were free with registration that I would never buy on DVD. I can work around by adding as a DVD, then unchecking the DVD media and checking the custom media type. As others have mentioned, it asks if I want to contribute, but I can live with that method.
The other issue is if I have the same movie on 2 or 3 services, I don't see a way to show it. I can only mark one custom type per DVD. Any ideas? |

But this can be solved by simply adding several manual profiles of the same title, just with different Purchase Places.
How to add a Manual Profile:
1) Open the "Add DVD..."-dialogue
2) Choose tab "Add by Title..."
3) Unflag "Download from Invelos"-option | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

| | Posted: | | | | Thanks for the tip about adding duplicates. Adding multiple copies, would also solve the problem of tracking which services have HD versions, and which have SD. Multiple custom types alone didn't do it. |

You could also keep a link to the actual digital media using My Links. The method used by the LoadDVD plugin is to define additional discs for each version, and use the location and slot to point to it. | | | Thanks for your support.
