Would be useful.

In the meantime you may want to use the PlugIn "Database Query" from the Download section of this site.
It provides the requested filter (and a lot more!)
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

You already can under the tab Collection/Sort By/Purchase Date.

That's a sort, not a filter.

Sorry, I misunderstood. But, just out of curiosity, what kind of filter are we talking about?

A Purchase Date filter.

It isn't something I would see myself using all that often... but as it sounds...

a filter where you type in say 12/25/07... and it will filter all the titles you got Christmas Day in 2007.

In my opinion.. a nice curiosity type thing... but nothing I can see myself getting any real use out of personally.

It could also be a between, before or/and after filter. For example you could filter all movies you have purchased between 1.1.2011-1.1.2012.

Especially considering that the result, if needed, can easily be obtained with Sort and Flags.
