1. If you use 'Skip All Unchanged' the tick boxes are unchecked. However, on the General Information tab those profiles still show as having a Update available. If profiles are skipped could the updates available icon grey out?

2. Could the refresh updated profiles function automatically ignore all profiles contributed by the user? I've just done a refresh and of the 107 new updates.....106 were mine. But, I still had to go through them to say skip.

3. A 'Skip Update' check box in the list - rather than having to right click and select Skip Update. (May not be necessary if #2 is possible.

4. The refresh updated profiles still can't differentiate between a new update and personal use of the Custom role field. I use the custom role field on every profile I edit and that means every one of my contributions comes up for me to evaluate.

I realise that Profiler tends to cater primarily to the casual user who just wants to download profiles and forget about them - but surely, for those of us that contribute massively to the online database, a tool or two to ease our jobs wouldn't be so hard would it?

Thanks for your consideration, Ken!

Why don't you use 'Skip All Unchanged' ?

I think I covered that in #1, didn't I?

Skip All Unchanged still leaves the 'update available' icon active on the general information tab. So, while browsing through my collection I keep seeing these green arrows indicating an update is available...whereas in reality, it's my update.
I want that green arrow to grey-out when Skip All Unchanged is used.

Also, Skip All Unchanged can't recognise Custome Role usage - they're still flagged as changes.

Hope that explains it better.

Hmm, strange, I cannot reproduce this. I always skip my own updates and just went through my collection and the icon was grey on every profile.

Very strange. I did this today and after I'd run the Skip Unchanged I noted down 6 of the ones it unchecked.
I then chose to Skip this Update on every other title.

Once this had finished I checked those 6 and they all had the icon green. I then ran the Refresh Updated Profile facility again - and the same 6 titles were the only ones it found.

I just had the opportunity to test this again. I skipped unchanged and then went through the others. None of the skipped has Update icon green.

Like Kulju. I don't recall ever having that problem either, Pantheon.

Maybe he should run database repair?

Did a db repair.

No change, and I've literally just checked this.

One thing I did notice is that in all cases my profiles are locked. Maybe the Update Profiles tool can't recognise locked profiles?

I'm just about to test this by unlocking some titles.

Ok, I've just unlocked two titles I created from scratch.

Ran the Update Profiles and everything I skipped from a few minutes ago is back up.
For both my titles there were ticks on Profile and Images in the refresh updated profiles window.
I selected 'Skip Unchaged' and neither of these profiles were skipped.

Maybe it's because I use custom roles? Every time I do a comparison the custom roles are always highlighted.
Maybe it's because I track some crew not in the rules locally (choreographer for example)?
Maybe it's because of my custom genres? For example, my Avengers Assemble has SuperHero as a genre and it's coming up as having a change - but that's the only change (although the rest of the profile is identical because I submitted it).

I selected Skip This Update from right click menu and now these profiles no longer have the 'Update Available' icon highlighted.

So, this is definitely NOT my imagination or because a db repair is required.
