| Posted: | | | | Liked to see an area ( outside of using tags) of THX optimizer .. A lot of my THX titles don't have the optimizer and some or most do.. If I want to calibrate an optimizer featured disc to my set up (audio/visual) I'd like to be able to refer to my Profiler data rather than by memory of which of my THX discs have the optiomizer .. rather than reading the back of each of the titles .. Can it be included in Features, (future edition?) or should it be included in Special Features? (as text) ... | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. | Posted: | | | | I don't see why this couldn't be entered as text in Special Features already. You would however need to use Tags to be able to select such discs easily.
IMHO the distinction between THX with/without the Optimizer is too subtle to warrant a separate checkbox, but perhaps I think that way because I use a dedicated calibration disc for my equipment. |

| Posted: | | | | I like the idea and have suggested it earlier, but I wouldn't limit the check box just for THX Optimizer, since there are other similar tools also. Maybe "Calibration Tools" check box? |

Because a search on "THX" wouldn't distinguish between with/without THX Optimizer, which is what the OP wants. Type "THX Optimizer" to Other features field and the then run search against that field with word "THX". This search has nothing to do with THX Certified check box field. That's how I separate them at the moment. I can do separate searches for both and don't have to use tags. It's even contributable. The only reason why we should have a check box for "Calibration Tools" is that the Other Features field max character lenght is wayyyy too short (and there are other tools too). | | | Last edited: by Kulju |

| Posted: | | | | Which is NOT just searching on THX as you initially claimed.
The different way you now provided is not what I would call "being able to select such discs easily".
Of course, your mileage may vary. | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

| Posted: | | | | I'm going to have to flag all my THX titles / print them out and then sit down with each title and locate the thx optimizer on any and all ... and get these properly contributed next week..
then we'll see what gets accepted and what doesn't .. stay tuned .. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

Quote: The different way you now provided is not what I would call "being able to select such discs easily" It takes me about two seconds to find all releases with THX Optimizer in my collection by typing three letters and hitting enter. For me, that's easy. |

| Posted: | | | | Well I found a lot of titles that have the OPTIMIZER but you wouldn't know it unless you went to the Main Menu .. then I have a lot of titles that are THX but are not encoded at all with any calibration tools such as the OPTIMIZER .. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird.
