Eg. wrong formatting/capitalization, wrong SRP Currency, wrong case type, etc. etc. Could it be an idea for Invelos to introduce a checkbox when submitting, like the one we are familiar with when registering for forums and when installing sw? ( Ie. "I accept" ) At least for the 10-20 first contributions from an user? The checkbox could read: "I am familiar with the Contribution Rules" and NOT checking this would simply prohibit contributing. Of course this could lead to people "automatically" checking this box, as one automatically checks this when installing sw (according to rumors ), but I think the main problem is that the contributor has never even heard of the rules. This way it would be a deliberate choice when not comply to the rules. | | | Karsten |

Look where that brought us... It's all in the mind set. | | | Hans |

Would some sort of automation be helpful here - some way to enforce or check at least some of the rules? ( karstemp's checklist on steroids ). But probably only Invelos could write it. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! Sad, but true. As was pointed out in a different thread, I have seen people state that they got the cast and crew from IMDb, garner tons of 'no' votes, withdraw the submission then recontribute stating that the cast and crew came from the film credits. A check box, stating that they have read the rules, won't stop these people. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |

It's a little pessimistic to think that all those who contribute bad data do so knowingly. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

Do we even know how many contributors there are, and what their average contribution rate is? I think the number of people with just a few contributions is actually quite small, and that a small group or percentage makes up for most of the current contributions. Not counting the Intervocative inherited stuff... | | | Hans |

Exactly my point, Gunnar. Thanks. | | | Karsten |
