The R1 Complete Ripping Yarns has a booklet that lists cast, both credited and uncredited.  Some of the uncrediteds are listed with group credits, some of which are problematic to divide.  E.g. "Passers-by etc."  "Boys, Masters and Film Crew".

Normally, dividers wouldn't apply to uncredited cast, but these are from an authoritative source, acceptance of which has precedent.  It seems to me it might be acceptable in this extremely rare occurence, to let the groups remain and sort the cast within them.  If so:  groups first then ungrouped?  Ungrouped first then groups?  Some other scheme?

Or should only the alphabetical order rule be applied, and force individual roles from the groups?

I'm very interested to hear your thoughts.

I think that's what we have to do based on the alpha-order rule for uncredited.

As they are uncredited, we have to follow the uncredited rule...Alpha sort.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.
