| Posted: | | | | This is about the 6-disc set Silent Greats: The Ultimate Collection with UPC 777966-859798. The individual discs do not have UPC codes printed on their cases. It is currently not in the database, so I created a parent profile with the above UPC, and wanted to make child profiles using the discIDs. For 4 of the 6 discs that's not problem, but for volumes 2 and 3 I have a bit of an issue I don't know how to solve and still be able to submit the set. Volume 2 has disc ID 8131A9369A4EFC22 and volume 3 has disc ID E667A6DFC7993AFF. When I entered volume 2 it turns out that it's already in the database with the UPC 777966-912196, the title Charlie Chaplin 3 Disc Collector's Edition and the locality of Canada. So far so good. But when I enter volume 3, it comes up as ALSO being in the database already with the same UPC, title and locality as above. Turns out that UPC is of a 3-disc set, and both of these discs have been entered under the Discs tab as being part of that set. And so because one of those discs is part of my collection (since I entered volume 2) it means that DVD profiler won't let me add volume 3, because it says UPC 77966-912196 is already part of my collection, even though it technically isn't. Locally I can solve this no problem, I just create a manual profile for volume 3. But since I can't add volume 3 by disc ID and since it doesn't have a UPC code and since I can't submit manual profiles, I'm at a loss as to how to solve it for the online. I guess I could keep the whole set local only, but that seems like a waste of quite a lot of work. Thoughts? | | | Tags, tags, bo bags, banana fana fo fags, mi my mo mags, TAGS! Dolly's not alone. | Posted: | | | | It can't currently be solved online. It's basically first come first served, if a disc ID happens to appear in multiple sets. | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | If I've got this right, this should work. Am I right in thinking there are currently no disc ID profiles existing for those 2 discs? If so, try this:
When you go to add by disc, clear the "download from Invelos" box. This will allow you to create a new blank profile based on the disc ID. You can then use these new profiles as children for the Silent Greats collection, and they can co-exist in your database with the original Chaplin boxset (where they only exist as disc info). |

You are indeed right, and that did indeed work. Many thanks! | | | Tags, tags, bo bags, banana fana fo fags, mi my mo mags, TAGS! Dolly's not alone. You can also clone profiles. You've got questions?
