| Posted: | | | | I didn't really know how to formulate the subject of this topic. So I came up with this. The rules say the following thing: Quote: Do not add a group end divider at the end of the cast, or at the end of a crew section. But then the credits in the following crew section will get the group role of the last group in front. For example Moulin Rouge!: The Music section ends with: Group: "The Hindi" Steve Sharples - Songwriter - Sound Guntis Sics - Sound etc. When I click on Crew Information for Guntis Sics I get the following credit in his list: + "The Hindi": Sound I don't think that this is right, so group end dividers should be added at the end of crew section (except at the end of the Art section) or it is a program error that should be corrected. | | | Cor |

| Posted: | | | | Since Sound is after Music it is not at the end of the crew section. That is only for the end of the complete crew section. Or in other words... yes only for the end of the art category of the crew section. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I thought a crew section is just a part of the total crew (direction, writing, production etc.). I guess I misread this rule then. | | | Cor |

IMHO, that clearly refers to each of the eight crew sections, not the crew in its entirety (then, the rule would have said: "or at the end of the crew section", the same way it used the for cast). Instead, I just think you've found a bug... | | | Last edited: by T!M |

| Posted: | | | | The way I have always read that is that there is several crew categories in the one crew section. I can tell you I am the one that mentioned the end of the cast/crew sections to Ken... and that is what was meant when I mentioned it to him. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | "A crew section" (which is what the rule currently says) implies that there is more than one. Else "a" makes no sense: not that the same rule doesn't say "a cast", either. If the crew in it's entirety was meant, the rule would/should have said "the crew section" (again: like it does for cast). Since it doesn't, it can only be referring to each of the eight crew sections. | | | Last edited: by T!M |

| Posted: | | | | That is fine... that just means if Ken meant the same thing I did (as I expect since he didn't have anything like this in the rules till I asked) he just needs to fix one word in the rules to fix the problem. Much easier then a program change. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | And this particular problem is precisely why I have chosen locally to use Group End at the end of every Group.

| Posted: | | | | I took "a" crew section to mean each profile has its own crew section. |

Each crew category should, by default, end the group divider above it. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | I found another issue with this rule. I have a group at the end of the Art section, but I also have crew listed in Other. I can end-group the Art section, so that those in Other are not included in the same group, but when I contribute it looks like I have an end divider at the end of the whole crew section. |

| Posted: | | | | My other idea was to add it at the start of the Other section... yeah, don't do that. It causes a crash in the profile. I submitted the crash report to Invelos. |
