| Posted: | | | | Hello there, this is not to start any flaming or any mocking against the contributor or the voters. I am just wondring myself, that nearly everyone votes yes on the following contribution: 097360-789447 Up in the Air US Blu-Ray The contributor removes almost every feature the Blu-ray actually has. I have double checked this and all features that are in the exiting online database are all acceccible fromthe EXTARS menue on the Blu-Ray. I am not concerned about the contributor, we all make mistakes. What puzzles me is that besides me only 1 guy votes NO and many other simply vote YES to that obviously false contribution As said earlier, not wanting any flame , just wondring how such a thing happens. cheersa Donnie | | | www.tvmaze.com |

| Posted: | | | | Too many users are on "auto-pilot" when voting. They just take a quick glance and click yes (or no if everyone else is leaning that way). Just leave a no vote with a note for the screeners that good info is being removed for no reason and it will most likely get declined. One no vote with a real reason will top 1,000 blind yes votes, I know this from experience! (Maybe not 1,000, but close to 100) | | | Last edited: by bigdaddyhorse |

| Posted: | | | | I would say that, just from what I have seen, about half of the voters always vote yes. Why they do this, I do not know. With the release of the new version, and this happens with each new release due to the sheer volume of updated profiles, this percentage goes WAY up. As BigDaddy said, make your comment useful and it should end up fine...though that isn't always the case. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | My guess is that most voted YES before my submission adding the full feature list was approved. To show how brain-dead some of us are, I did it also! Thanks for the heads-up. pdf | | | Paul Francis San Juan Capistrano, CA, USA |

| Posted: | | | | Maybe it would be an idea that the system doesn't allow a submission while another is waiting to be approved or denied. | | | Unfortunately, I can't use DVDprofiler at the moment due to lack of a Windows computer. |

| Posted: | | | | I think it would be enough if there was a message that came up telling you there is a previous contribution to check yours against theirs to be sure you are not removing good data. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Or better yet, make it so you have to type in a reason for a yes vote as well.. This would make all voters think 1st. Another is remove the vote system and leave it to the screeners, but make it possible for us to add notes to the contributions as to a problem any of us may find in a contribution. Just a thought as to how this could be resolved. | | | Last edited: by Romzarah |

| Posted: | | | | I think a very good idea is that we all get a note when a contribution of the title is already pending, so we can double check before contributing

| Posted: | | | | I was one of those people. I'm having a "backwards" week, I think. I've been reading contributions the opposite way. Orici was added "Dubbing Editors" to all of the James Bond titles, and I thought, for some reason, that he was removing them. Hopefully next week will right the ship.
Eric | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |

Switching off the brain-autopilot might help too. When contributing you get to the "Contribution Notes", if you can find entries here that obviously have no status like declined or released, it's most likely that they are still pending. Especially if they have today's date. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
