| Posted: | | | | I am Looking for the correct Studios to Contribute for the film Inspector Clouseau. The Actual Theatical Company Was United artist. But is not listed during Opening credits or case other than a small Logo. Metro Goldwyn Mayer is currently listed in profile as Studio, but MGM only shows logo in opening credits and only has logo on case. The MC is Sony Pictures Home Entertanment as listed on case. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inspector_Clouseau_(film) http://www.answers.com/topic/inspector-clouseau-1968-film |

| Posted: | | | | That's because UA was not the Producing Company, they were the Theatrical Distributor, field #1 of Studios
MGM had nothing to do with Clouseau save current ownership, therefore they and perhaps TCFHE are the MCs.

Are you suggesting to enter it anyway? Quote: MGM had nothing to do with Clouseau save current ownership, therefore they and perhaps TCFHE are the MCs. Just to highlight more problems, let me ask: so "current ownership" automatically qualifies for a "media company" entry? Says who? | | | Last edited: by T!M |

Isn't UA credited somewhere at the end of the end credits, like 'Distributed by United Artists' or 'Released by United Artists'? | | | Cor |

| Posted: | | | | Maybe I missed it somewhere, but I don't believe the rules say that the studio has to come from the written credit. While that is the prefered place, if the theatrical release studio is just a logo, I see no reason it can't be entered. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Often the theatrical release studio is credited in written, but a UA logo will suffice as well. | | | Cor | | | Last edited: by Corne |

| Posted: | | | | Often times the Theatrical Distribution is only distinguished by logo, if UA were ACTUALLY credited(other than the logo) that would usually indicate they were involved in the Production in some form.
Darnite, this one of the relative rarities that I have referredc to relative to MC where the the company that holds the title has licensed Distribution to another company, probably TCFHE. So, under the current system this one case, if I am correct about TCFHE, that inclusion of MGMHE AND TCFHE would be appropriate. I don't even Clouseau in my wishlist, though I should probably add it, so I acn't tell you the finer details.

| Posted: | | | | BTW Darknite your contribiution for Return of the Pink Panther has a bad typo on the back of that jacket upc #012236-074106 where it states the movie is matted in 1:85 .. It's really 2.35 ..
I don't have the disc with me right now so I can't provide any screen caps .. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.
