Sometimes I want to download a title that was entered with disc ID only:
1. I can't search for it using just the disc ID.
2. Occasionally, certain titles are a part of a box set. If I want to download them I have to download the parent profile first.

Try re-reading what liorb said "For titles he doesn't own" ie for his wish list... I too have found that if somebody has submitted a TV box set they may have submitted the child profiles as well, but NOT included the relevant Disc ID's as part of the Parent Profile as "BOX SET CONTENTS" but are listed as part of the Disc Information. Edited for typo If they are noted in the Discs section but not as child profiles he could compare what he sees there with the ID in the "Add by Title" list. Or he could create child profiles with the BulkEdit plugin and then force an update on these profiles. Not wanting to dismiss the Feature Request, just showing workarounds. | | | Karsten

I still agree with DJ Doena that the title search is quite usable workaround. Are these really so common that someone has done and contributed all child profiles but hasn't contributed the parent profile with correct box set info? |

I think you'll find that liorb is asking (please correct me liorb if I have this wrong) is for a way to search for a DVD based on entering the Disc ID, similar to the search by entering EAN (UPC) number. So if for arguments sake box set "joe doe" R2 has Disc ID's dc123..., fa456..., eb987... by entering that Disc ID it would give you a listing of available Disc's not nessasrily from your own region coding area. As (if it were me I'd be looking for UK languaged titles) they be available from say Sweden; Germany or Japan so may not show up under the same English Title (uses the localities own language title instead.
