In the Dutch locality, there are 2 releases for Saw III:

  * The Special 2 Disc Edition - UPC 8715664-046012
  * Limited 2 Disc Edition - UPC 8715664-047088

The first is a Steelbook release. The second is the same steelbook packaged in a blood bag, then put in a Cardboard Box with the 2nd UPC listed.

This profile has been set up as a boxset, using an near-empty profile for 8715664-047088 and a childprofile for 8715664-046012.

I got a NO vote for adding all details to the parent profile. While I personally have no use for the child profile in this case (I have enough profiles to maintain  ), I didn't break the link with the child profile in my contribution.

But I do believe all cast, crew, and other info needs to be in the parent profile. I've been comparing other profiles, but apparently, we are the only locality to have gotten this release.

Reading the Rules on box sets, they need to have more than one film so this isn't a box set.

I would follow the same as the limited edition version of Batman Begins (883929017690). The outer packaging is different to the HD slim case inside but there's not box set set up, only the one on the outer packaging is linked to the profile.

Edit: In other words, I would do it exactly as you have but I would also remove the box set from it.

That's what I was thinking. But I don't even want to break the user's Boxset setup, it doesn't bother me a child profile exists. I guess he wants both artworks in his database.

I just want to use a single profile containing all info, so I'll see if the screeners let it pass.

Thanks guys.

This is done quite a bit with 'Gift Sets', where there is an outer box, with it's own upc, that contains the DVD as well as some collectible.  What I do, and have seen others do, is to create profiles for both and attach the DVD profile to the outer profile via Box Set.  The reason the child profile is attached is to show that it came inside the special release.  Both profiles, however, need to be complete.  The outer should not be blank.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I've done so too localy with two re-releases in German location (13th Warrior, Brothers Grimm) ... but I think this should be kept local and not contributed, as it's (like already stated) not a boxset... Or do I see this in a wrong way?

Personally I agree with you but may not object to the linking as long as all the info is in the main profile.
