| | Posted: | | | | I would, as a 70mm fan, like to se the posibillity of putting a 70mm marker in each films profile, so that contributors can, if they wish, mark if the film originally was shot on 70mm negative stock. (data can be optained from IMDB)
Because 70mm films in Bluray (especially Baraka) just looks really nice and it would be nice to be able to search ones film library easy for just 70mm films. |

| | Posted: | | | | I think will be more interesting put the technical format than size of film. And this date can be easily obtain in film credits. Usually allways the recording technical formart is show in credtis. In old times near copryright in film star, today in finish credits, near finish.
Example of formats:
- Imax (70mm horizontally).
- Cinerama (70mm, vertically).
- Technirama (35mm horizontaly).
- Cinemascope (35mm vertically, anamorphic lents)
- Super35 (35mm vertically with sferical lents).
- Standar 35mm.
- Super16 (16mm vertically).
- Panavision.
- Cinerama (65mm for rec, 70mm for proyections, because in proyection added saoundtrack).
- Betacam (For old TV shows).
-...
And like format, is easy obtain in credits film type:
- Afgacolor.
- Technicolor.
- Original Technicolor (3 b/w films for each color).
-...
And in many films, also is sound system:
- Dolby
- DTS
- Wester Electric

All dates of these, are allwais in credits. And I think will be very interesting can hace it. |

I agree. 70 MM would not be the sole issue, then we would have to start adding all film stock possibilities, including Technicolor and Eastman, Fuji, etc. And we would likely have to include technical data on filming, Spectravision, Cinerama, Anamorphic Lensing etc. Nope, especially since your interest is so narrow, it falls on YOU for your use through the Tag System. It might be interesting as FHarlock says, but I fear far beyond the majority of users, I have done this thrrugh tags for years because I do have an interest in it, but I also recognize that most users probably don't care. Tags are local, and I suppose anyone can use whatever sources they feel comfortable with. I realize this... I use Technicolor tags as I find the "original technicolor process from the 30's- 40's 50's and 'maybe' some 60's are fantastic color to the eye. , but as technicolor term goes it changed for the 70's and didn't have that eye popping 'pizazzz' anymore.. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird.
