| Posted: | | | | I just started working on/adding the Cary Grant: The Movie Collection. I also am going to add the child profiles. There are 18 seperate keepcases, some with 2 movies on one disc. Most of these have a UPC so no problem there, the keepcases with 2 movies on 1 disc i added via disc-ID (since there i no UPC). No problem there either. However one movie, She Done Him Wrong, doesn't have a UPC and when i want to add it by disc-ID it shows that the disc-ID in question already is available as childprofile for the Mae West: 6-Disc Boxset (5050582422184). This set, i also contributed a while ago, has 3 keepcase i added with the UPC, and each keepcase having 2 discs. Is there a possibility to add She Done Him Wrong to the Cary Grant Set as well (locally as well as for submission)? Or is this impossible . Thank you for your help, Paul |

| Posted: | | | | I think I understand the problem - you also own the first set, and when you try to add the child profile for She Done Him Wrong it says you already own it. Right?
If this is the case, for the online, remove the child from the Mae West set and add it to the Cary Grant set. Then submit. The same children can be assigned to different parents in the online.
For your local, I guess you would have to create a manual profile for one of these sets, since the program doesn't let you own the same disc twice. Maybe someone else has a better idea? | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield | | | Last edited: by Danae Cassandra |

This is correct, however, the Cary Grant disc has a different cover as well. (strangely enough the print on the disc differs as well) So assigning the Mae West 'Child' to the Cary Grant set will also result in a child with the wrong cover for people buying the Cary Grant set. | Posted: | | | | I don't think there is a fix for what you are describing. If there is no UPC/EAN (For the child profile) and it is the same Disc ID used for an earlier release.. the online info would have to match the earlier release and no way to add the later release in such a case. I know it sucks as an answer... but afraid it is the limitations of the program.
As for adding the Mae West version to the Cary Grant set. I don't know if I would or not... since everything don't match. But it at least is something... only problem any differences would have to be local only. And I can see all the attempts to fix what looks like to be wrong data.
If you do decide to do that (add the Mae West version to the Cary Grant set) I would also offer the cover scans in the Re-release Cover Scan Thread. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Yup, what Pete said.
I have several re-release sets that have different covers for the child profiles in the online than what they have in my hand. Whichever was the earlier release date is the one that should be in the online. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for the help. I was already afraid this was going to be the answer. I'll create a manula profile for my local.
When i'm ready to contribute (21 movies, so it may take some time). I'll put the Mae West disc in the Cary Grant boxset with a note explaining the situation to prevent people trying to submit incorrect changes.
Thank you again,
Paul |
