| Posted: | | | | Hi All,
I'm new to contributing profiles and have a problem that I would like your help with, please.
I recently purchased "Once Upon A Time In The West" with UPC 9324915079700 for region 4. When I tried to add it to DVDProfiler I found that the UPC didn't exist. So I added the DVD by title, found the title with a different UPC, loaded the profile and then changed the UPC from the already contributed profile to the UPC on my DVD. DVDProfiler asked if I wanted to submit the contribution but I said "no" as I wanted to check all of the data before I uploaded the "new" profile. So, is the right way to do this?
Now, when I refresh updated profiles, DVDProfiler wants to replace all my data for this DVD with a profile for Watchmen. Am I correct in assuming that sometime between me finding my UPC didn't exist in the database and now, that someone submitted a profile for Watchmen using "my" UPC with the same region?
How can I know contribute this profile?
Thanks, Glenn |

| Posted: | | | | Since a quick Google-search only listed "Once Upon A Time In The West" for this UPC it is possible that the "Watchmen"-DVD got sorted with an incorrect UPC and/or locality. Please contact scottview, the contributor of this profile for verification. If the UPC for Watchmen is correct, you can do as deejay suggested. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for your help. I contacted the contributor of Watchmen who agreed that it had an incorrect UPC/EAN. He has submitted a corrected profiler and I have now submitted my DVD with its correct UPC/EAN. |
