In my box set I do not have the parent show any disc's, all the disc info and ID is tied to the child discs.

This causes the issue where the parent box set will not sort to its location as you can not assign one. Can you have it sort on location based on the first child's location.

Perhaps I do not fully understand this one...

Why would you want to "sort a boxset parent to it's 'location'" if it has no discs in the first place?  The whole point of a 'location' designation is to tell you where the disc is - not the packaging.

Except Mike, that it appears to me that Ross has absolutely no idea of how Profiler defines a Boxset.

I am sorry I was not born with the profiller embeded doctrin.

Some of the individuals on this board are a little full of themselves as to how the program should work.

This is a feture request board, I ask for a feature. If enough people think it is good then the owners can consider implementing it.

I dont' expect all my sugestions to be implemented but i have to ask. If Jubal doesn't like this he can comment but he chooses to be condecinding in his tone.

Yes Jubal I did see you were nice enought to offer to help me if I had issues in another email and I thank you for the offer but if you don;t have a positive or negative position on the feature request then leave it alone.

I can see your point, but there is also my point the box set keeps all of the disks together in a nice lillte expandable area but at the end of the day when i am looking for NCIS it would be nice to have it sorted Box and discs to the same area if I have the sort set to Location.

As this idea is not embraced by all then I sugest this be a check box under personal that one could check to alllow or dis-allow the sort to work this way.

I think  get what you're saying then.  In the interim, what you could do is add a disk to the parent and set it's location to disk 1 of the set. Yes, it's not automatic and it doesn't inheret disk 1's location, but perhaps it would suffice as a work-around until the program can do this for you?

[Edit] - I realize that by doing this you are creating a disc that actually doesn't truly exist, so it's definately not a perfect solution
