just wondering how you would go about listing cast for WWF/WWE DVD's.  an example would be The Rock. since wrestling dvd's don't have a cast listing at the end, would he be listed as "The Rock" or because everyone knows his real name is Dwayne Johnson listed like that. another good example would be Triple H. i'm sure that's not his real name yet in the Blade Trinity movie he is listed in the credits as Triple H. any help? thanks.

I am not familiar with the way wrestling discs are credited or not.... but either way I would use the most credited form of the name going by the CLT just like any other profile.

If there is no credits on the disc then just the most credited form would be good enough. If there was any type of credits at all (I know years ago when I did watch wrestling there was a banner with their name as they entered the ring.) I would use Most Commonly Credited Form (Credited as if needed).

thanks for the reply. i had asked this once before in the forums and didn't get any response.
not familiar with Commonly Credited form. there is like a banner type thing which has the wrestling stage name. but i didn't know if The Undertaker should be credited or i should search online for his real name(i think it's Mark something)

No... Real names do not matter at all. What you want is the most commonly credited form of a name. And if they are credited differently then the most commonly credited form you use the Credited As Field.

Lets take The Rock for example.

If you go to the Credit Look-Up

And type in...

The Rock  - you get...
107 Titles (368 Profiles)

Dwayne Johnson - you get...
109 Titles (202 Profiles)

this one was probably not a good example since titles is higher on one name and profiles higher on the other. But if I remember right Ken said it was the titles that was the more important number... so lets go with that.

And you see The Rock credited on the disc...  What you want is...

Dwayne Johnson credited as The Rock

When you add him to the profile in his pop-up window (where you type in the role) right above the role is the credited as field. There you would change Dwayne Johnson to The Rock.

The concensus, from a previous discussions, was to use the 'ring name'.  The reason being, most of them aren't doing other projects and, when they do, they use their ring name...Tripple H in 'Blade Trinity', 'The Rock' in his early films.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.
