I have spend days updating the Charmed TV series seasons 4, 5 and 7 and the common name for Eilish Zebrasky credited as Eilish has been approved on these seasons but I submit season 2 and I get a No vote because Eilish Zebrasky is not in the CLT but Eilish has the credits for Charmed seasons 4, 5 and 7 ??? My question is how long does it take for the CLT to catch up with the contribution changes??? I know my changes has been approved and released but shouldn't the CLT match?

The CLT results use the Credited As name.

There are a bunch of CLT credits under Eilish and none under Eilish Zebrasky.

Even if Eilish Zebrasky is the real name...for DVD Profiler purposes it shouldn't be used as the common name because there are more Eilish credits.

The No vote is valid and technically the others should be changed back to just Eilish, for the online database.  Locally you are fine.
Bad movie?  You're soaking in it!

I agree, tweeter. You also need to provide documentation to for Common name usage. I just had to make correction to a recent contribution which used Common names with absolutely no documentation of any kind, not even a comment that it was being used. Also PLEASE when you are forced to use another source per the Rules, there are usually some simple modifications that can be made such as changing 'Joe' (which is IMDb-style) to "Joe", it's a simple change to make and breaks any obvious connections to other data.

I agree... sounds like the no votes are correct. We only use most credited form  of a name for the common name. It don't matter what the real name is. This is something Ken himself clarified...

The lookup tool is not to be blindly trusted, however it does outweigh other sources, including autographs.  The common name is not intended to always reflect the "real name", but the most commonly credited name.

However, if a user documents errors in the database where the credit is not entered properly, that can and should be considered.  Better yet, correct the entries, assuming you own the discs in question, thereby correcting the lookup results.

As you can see in the sentence I put in bold.

I agree with Tweeter.  It sounds like you created a 'common name' rather than use the one that already existed.  Your contributions were accepted in error and should be fixed.

If the CLT lists 'Joe' as more common than "Joe", you have to use 'Joe'.

LOL, I presume that you are referring to Actual credits which might list 'Joe". I believe if you read my pst more carefully you will see that I was referring to ROLES, which have absolutely NOTHING to do with the CLT, ut thank you for playing, anyway, James. 'Joe' would not be unheard of in a film credit, but it would be rather uncommon, relatively speaking.

I can understand your confusion, james as I di not specify ROLES, but I did refer to the Rules and we have no prvision for outside data for anything than Roles in CERTAIN cases.
