Can we please have the *default* region set to the region for the given locality? I've noticed a number of Blu-rays listed as region free when in fact they are region locked according to websites that record this information. Listing them as region free is 100% wrong. Although not 100% correct, listing a region A release as region A (when it may in fact be region free) is more accurate. The majority of players are region locked, so this is important information. We should not have the program defaulting to something misleading.

Doing it either way would be misleading for some titles

Seriously though, while in principle I agree with this, to have DVDs do it one way & Blu-ray do it another could get confusing. If you're going to do it for one media, then you should do it for both. That would require Ken to add two separate lists because the split is different between the two formats. Well it could be one list but with two sets of information.

The default region per locality for both DVDs and Blu-rays is already available in the localities file (localities.xod). However, when creating a new profile, it is not utilized in either case.
