| Posted: April 26, 2009 8:47 PM | | | | The box set/search for child profile is a relatively new feature & as a result, many TV series don't have the child profiles linked yet but do have the IDs on the Discs tab of the box set. For example -  What I am suggesting is adding some options to this screen - 1)Check for Child Profile by Disc-ID - Often the individual discs will already exist within the database just waiting for someone to link them. An option to search for them by Disc-ID would make it much easier than having to go through the Add by Title screen or digging out the disc. Sometimes, the Disc-ID can span multiple localities so a filter could be set up so that it only searches the locality of the Parent Profile. 2)Extract Disc-ID to Child Profile - When the above has been used & if determined that the Disc-ID profiles don't exist then you can use this to automatically create the Child Profile using the ID. When clicking this it could then ask you what info you want to copy, kind of like the Lock List. Here I think the best option is for the Locality to be auto set to that of the Parent you're extracting to. |

| Posted: April 26, 2009 9:43 PM | | | | Why not just pull the disc IDs from this screen and populate the "Boxset Contents" field for this profile? Ken could run a script to do this.
That way, they are in the profile, whether the child profiles exist or not.
