I have about 100+ Action Sports (surfing, skateboarding), music (live concerts, music video collections), Wrestling (older ECW) that I need to manully enter. Most are listed on IMDB and Amazon. Some have bar codes. All are originals purchased at stores.

If you want these entered, then you'll have to do it yourself.  Personally, I've added the various music and sports DVDs that I own to the online, but we can't add what we don't have.

sillybarry,

This is because DVD Profiler is a user based database system. Which means, that if nobody has entered it before you, then it won't be there.

The reason that the dvds that you have added are there in the first place, is that users have taken their own time and effort to add them to the database.

With the ridiculously large amount of dvds, blu-ray, etc that are released in ever single region... it is impossible for Invelos/DVD Profiler to be able to enter all the details themselves. Not only that, but just imagine what the price tag would be like if they had to employ staff to input this data continually. Also, where would they get all the dvds from to enter the information?

Naturally, it is with the effort of people like yourself and all of the rest of us who take the time to enter new dvds that make these situations happen less over time.

I continuously add new dvds to the list that aren't listed, and hope you will do the same. In my collection are also many music dvds, and I would really appreciate the effort... as i'm sure others would also

I agree, I have added a bunch of "Religious" dvd's to the database.  Because they simply werent in it.

Some I dont even own.  I simply borrow it from a friend put it in the database, then remove it from my collection just so the database is more complete.

Yep, I tend to focus on contributing DVDs that aren't in the database yet as well.

Contributing new profiles makes the Invelos database more complete and therefore deserves strong encouragement. Just make sure you read the Contribution Rules first and follow them (which e.g. means you can't use data - especially cast and crew data - from IMDb or Amazon). Also please state in your contribution notes where the data you're submitting came from. If you fail to do this, your contribution may well get declined, because your data can't be verified. So documentation is key.

Happy contributing!
