| Posted: | | | | The rules say we should always use the slip cover if its not reflective. But what if the name is the only thing reflective? seeing as the keep case cover is usually identical. Is it better to go with the keep case cover or slip cover?
(I'm sure this has been brought up before, but the forum search doesnt seem to want to respond for me right now) | | | Last edited: by screwed |

| Posted: | | | | Depends...does the reflective name make for an awful scan? If it does, then you can use the inner cover. If not, then no. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. | Posted: | | | | I was wondering if there a general unofficial rule for it. Uhm, in my collection I can think of one DVD that has this issue. It's also up for contribution now and has gotten only 'no' cause its not the slip cover scan. In that DVD its fully readable, it loos better of course with the non-reflective title. But nothing worth noticing. It also has a slightly different keep case cover.
But anyway, I just wondered if the rule applied for reflective titles. But its probably as you say, go with the slip cover scan if the title isnt too hard to read.
Thanks. |

| Posted: | | | | I've never interpreted the rule about reflective covers to mean the whole cover. I think if there are parts of the cover that are reflective and are causing problems with scanning, then it's still within the rules to go for the inner cover instead. |

I agree with north. I agree with Unicus's agreement with North. BTW using transparent masking tape over a reflective title really helps cut down the reflectivity . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |
