| Posted: | | | | Hello All...
Sorry if this has been discussed in another thread, but my attempted search for this didn't bear fruit.
This week, I added Lost: Season 4 to my collection. When I did so, I was prompted as to whether or not I would like to add the Child profiles along with the main one. Awesome, what a great feature!
However, now I'm curious on just how to go back to items in my collection (TV Series, Multi-Movie packs, etc.) and add the Child Profiles to those I already have entered. Can anyone assist with this? Also, is there any way to clearly tell whether or not Child Profiles exist for these sets already in my collection.
I thank all in advance for your assistance. |

| Posted: | | | | Yup, you can do this pretty easy and depending on the size of your collection, fairly quickly.
Flag the entries you want to double check for child profiles (or flag all of them to get your entire collection). Then go to the Online menu option, then to Refresh DVD from Invelos then to the bottom option, Check for Child Profiles.
It'll go through your collection of flagged entries looking for the profiles. When it finds them, it'll give the option to download them or not (sometimes the child profiles don't neccessarily match in one way or another so you can opt out of downloading them).
Hope this helps! | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | Hm, no, it only does them one at a time. That will take a long time with 5600 to check. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

The way the process works is the program first checks the entire collection for child profiles (assuming you flagged all entries), so you can just start the process and come back when it is done. It then prompts you one at a time if you want to add the child profiles for each entry that it found childs for. You have to manually say yes each time for it to download the child profiles for each particular title. But since it has already checked all your collection, you can basically just keep hitting yes (with the caveat that some box set child contents appear to be incorrect and you may want to look more carefully and say no when you see obvious mistakes). One warning though- once you start saying yes, you have to finish the process as the program only offers a cancel button which will undo all the child profiles you said yes and downloaded already. I learned this the hard way. Since the program doesn't tell you how many different profiles it found childs for, I just started saying yes to the first few dozen then realized I didn't have the time, and hit cancel as the only option, assuming it will keep the childs I already said yes to, but it undid everything and I had to start over. |

| Posted: | | | | That's not how it worked for me. It only looked at the current DVD, not all of the flagged DVDs. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

If you have a large collection with potential child profiles, you'd be wise to limit the number of parent profiles you flag if you don't have time to deal with all of them. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? Increased the size of my collection from 1734 to 2138. I didn't realize I had that many multi-disc sets. Anywho, thanks all for the responses. |

Do menu choices depend on the layout? I'm using one called "Invelos Default - High Resolution" I'm using the same layout but have 13 options on that same menu: Move to... Edit Tags... Edit Locks... Last Watched...Remove from Collection... Contribute... Adjust Prices... Refresh...Paste...Check for Child Profiles...Trading PosterClone to ManualClone to Disc IDNot sure what causes the difference. I do know you can flag the profiles you want to check and use Ctrl-F12 as a shortcut to check for child profiles. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

Clone to Manual Clone to Disc ID The Clone options are, i believe, part of the BulkEdit plug-in. Haven't used them yet. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |
