It would be nice to have a few radio buttons that have predefine sources (ie..  Information is from DVD credits or Information taken from DVD Cover)  this way it the submition requirement to state the source can be standard for majority of the submissions.

Maybe it's just me, but will it just give a way for the contributor to write untrue note? On the brighter side maybe I'm just a parano

Why help those who lie about where they get their information from anymore than necessary I still see contributions coming through whereby the entire cast list is a Direct copy of IMDb yet the submitter has claimed "It's all from the DVD credits".

I've had some of the recent releases where this has happened yet when I have purchased the said DVD and checked the credits myself found them to be totally different to what have been submitted.

But that just my opinion.

Instead of trying to figure out ways to avoid work. I would recommend strongly that you look for some Contributions from some old users, like, oh say Ti, or Steve or even myself to see what really good Contribution Notes look like. Yes they take some time to prepare. But your Contribution Notes are the bibliography that supports  your Contribution, how clear are your notes, not today, but six months from now, when someone is trying to "correct" something that was done correctly but can't be stpped because the Notes were not clear enough.

What would be nice is instead of having one area to type all your notes in, you get a smaller area for each section you've ticked. So if you're submitting an overview and cast, you get one area for your overview notes and one for the cast notes.
Depending on how it's set out on the voting page it would help when a lot of information has been submitted and you're finding it hard to find the relevant comment in the notes.

Not sure I'd like that one North. I write my contribution notes in Notepad while I'm editing the profile, and save it when I'm done. When I contribute, it's just copy/paste to get it into the contribution note on the screen, with sometimes removing extra line breaks introduced by Notepad. If separate areas were created for each section, I'd have to delete the unrelated parts in each part. A little more work, but I could live with it if I had to.

What I'd really like to see is an overflow indicator so when looking at a contribution on the evaluation screen, you would automatically know that the notes are more than what is displayed.

I've long been  fan of North's idea, as it forces people to comment on every element of their contribution. It also opens the door to the possibility of partially accepting contributions, although that may not be the best road to o down.

.
Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions.

Well the only reason i thought of having some "predefine" selections was to help with a quick review.
if a person copies from IMDb and then says it is from the DVD credits, does not stop them.

we are still relying on people to validate it.

and i do like the idea of just typing into notepad.  i could just save a copy and use it when i submit.

thanks for the thoughts.
