| Posted: | | | | Sorry if the title is confusing but there is a child profile in the contributions at the moment with this problem. X-Men: The Last Stand: Two-Disc Special Edition (I9C08A2A730E7A9D4). The problem is that it looks like this the standard disc with the movie on and is included in both as a single disc box set and a two disc box set.
Does one profile get priority or can the system support two child profiles with the same Disc-ID? |

Does one profile get priority or can the system support two child profiles with the same Disc-ID? As far as I'm aware the system can only support one Profile per Disc ID, unless you mean two film titles per Disc ID, ie Disc ID uhgvuihaug:- Title 1: Title 2. Then you would have in the cast section "Divider = Title 1" > cast for Title 1: "Divider = Title 2" > cast for Title 2 . Ditto for Crew Section Running Time would be amalgamation of both films running times etc. But if you mean Disc ID uhgvuihaug (already in online db) Title 1 and then try to add Disc ID uhgvuihaug (not in online DB) Title 2 then the answer is definitely NO Steve |

| Posted: | | | | Phil is talking about a contribution of mine which was turning a 2-disc profile based on the ID which was dated 2007 into a single disc profile dated 2006.
As far as I can the tell a different boxset which Phil has containing the 2-disc version came out before my boxset containing the single disc version. I've therefore withdrawn my submission as the 2-disc version was released first.
As Steve says, the system can currently only support one profile per UPC or disc ID. So we go by release date. The DVD that came out first gets the profile, all subsequent releases can be maintained locally only. |

| Posted: | | | | Not exactly the problem here, but if this is one movie, it shouldn't be a box set. Quote from the Contribution Rules:Quote: The term "Box Set" is used to define any release that includes more than one film Anyway, there can only be one profile with each disc ID. You can have multiple box sets with the same childs though. |

| Posted: | | | | No I understand:
That's very common. You get a DVD release with an extra bonus disc. You make a profile for it.
Then a ouple of years later, it's released together with other movies in a box. Of course they don't add all the bonus discs in this box, so your childs won't fit. Don't worry, that's just the way it is. |
