Since it is a boxed set, and not a 'vertical box', how to scan and submit?

1) as is, and fit scan to DVDProfiler width  OR

2) Rotate scan to display vertically in DVDProfiler?

Insight appreciated.

If I understand your question correctly, then there's currently a contribution up for another title where this issue has come up.

The limited edition of The Dark Knight was previously submitted like this -

Someone has now rotated it to show the correct orientation -

From the votes, most people seem to prefer it the correct way but some prefer it as is, as the text is slightly larger due to the way profiler resizes images.

I don't think there's a correct or wrong way as far as the rules currently read.

Right side up is how this and all covers should be IMO. Just because it is wider than it is tall shouldn't matter.

The MP set is no different than many other sets that are wider than they are tall. Here are some examples from my collection

X-files complete collection

Family Guy - Stewie Head

The West Wing complete series

The Monster Legacy Collection

Blade Runner

There are some profiles with a skewed picture like:
Northern Exposure

or:
Abbott & Costello: The Complete Universal Pictures Collection

Not sure if those are "correct" but at least they are upright. No, the rules don't say "right side up" but c'mon, do they really have to?

I would agree with Rick... I would want them right side up in my collection.

Agreed. I submitted the cover for The Wire Complete Series that way.

If we would submit them rotated and then everyone rotates them back at home we'd have higher resolution images. If you submit the horizontal image it still gets resized to 500px width.

Caveat: it will be more difficult to judge an updated image if an improved version is contributed and approved.
