In the US profile for Sin City (786936692143) Frank Miller's Sin City: Recut · Extended · Unrated

Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller are credited as producers,

I cant seem to find this in the endcredits other than a credit for Robert Rodrigues as Executive Produser under "design and previsualization byTroublemaker digital studios" far down into the credits, but if this credit should be used we also must credit Vicki Galloway Weimer credited at the end as Executive Producer?

The UK profile (8717418047931) has done this..

IMHO we shold only credit Bob Weinstein, Harvey Weinstein and Elizabeth Avellan as producers

Comments?

Since my DVDs, most of them are packed in storage at this time, fill me in. Are there no opening creds, ALL the creds are at the end? If yes then i agree with you, neither should be listed.

Boy I wish i could check mine, right now.

There are opening credits but they only mentions the two executive producers and the one producer, I have also looked thru the spes ed. endcredits, no findings.

I see now that Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez are listed as producers at the DVD Cover...

That must be a reliable source.    So case closed then!  (that damn litle text...)

Sorry about that

The DVD cover is not a valid source for credits.  If they aren't listed in the film credits, they don't get listed.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.

We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Except that the cover isn't a valid source for crew. (To quote the rules: "Take Crew Credits from the film credits only" and "Do not contribute uncredited crew members"). If they aren't listed in the credits, they are per definition uncredited and we don't allow uncredited crew

While there's a thread on it, how about Tarantino's "special guest director" credit?
I recall it in the opening credits and know he just did the one scene of Jackie Boy's corpse (del Toro) in the car with Dwight (Clive Owen). It runs around 5 minutes I'd guess, maybe 10 tops and is very memorable ("the long take" in the extras is this scene being shot)

I just went and re-read the rules, and of course they're not clear about a situation like this. It's not a "co-director", "unit director", or "director of special features" which all say don't include, but not really a "director" or "directed by" which is all it says to include. That "special guest" has me scratching my head and flip-flopping on if it's good or not, what do the rest of you fine folks think?

I voted YES on that contribution.

Tarantino is mentioned as Special Guest Director in the opening credits, so it is fine with me

cheers
