I just got the set in. In the database, all the cover scans for the child profiles look to be the scans of the individual seasons and not of the actual covers in the box. The actual covers in the box are more CD-sized instead of DVD-sized. I have scanned them all. Should I submit the new covers or leave it be?

If it is showing the scans for the individual seasons... that is telling me they used the same discs (same disc IDs) as the original release... so then as per rules the online database must show the scans/info of the original release as well. So you will need to keep your scans local.

Simply follow the Rules, 1badgmc. Assuming the Disc IDs for the Complete series are the same ones for the Seasons simply repackaged
"If a title is re-released with the same UPC, but different cover images do not contribute the new images. This includes cases where a DVD was initially released in a slipcase, which was later removed. As explained in the introduction you may use your personal images in your local database, but they will not show online."

It should also say Disc ID in addition to Disc Id but i presume we are all samrt enough to figure that out. Locally you should have the ones that you OWN. BTW there have benn several repackages of X-Files over the years.

The child profiles are all entered by disc ID, but the cover scans with them all have the UPC on the back scan of the individual seasons.

But, I'll leave it be. Just figured I'd ask.

There is a reason for that... the original releases were digipacks... since the individual discs don't have it's own cover art per rules you have to use the cover art for the parent profile.
