I don't know whether this is related to the 3.5 beta, but I've contributed two items on Nov 9th and they got approved on Nov 11th. But they haven't been released yet.

Ken told us all contributions are processed, but will only be released after the release of 3.5.
Planned for this week, but as we all know, he is a bit optimistic about timing sometimes.
