I’ve been going thru some of my daughter’s DVDs to update their profiles and have come across a stumbling block.  The title is Care Bears: Season of Giving, which is comprised of 6 “episodes”.  When selecting a single episode from the menu, the only credits given (at the beginning or end) are “Episode name by person’s name”…nothing else…doesn’t indicate if the person is the writer, director or what.  When selecting the “play all” option, it plays thru an opening sequence at the end of which it says “The Care Bears Family”, then it jumps into each episode in order. At the end of the last episode, then closing credits appear (keep in mind that these credits only appear when using the “play all” option, they don’t appear if you just play the final episode). 

Now, comes the tricky part…there are 2 sets of credits that play, back to back!  The 2 sets have different “looks” to them, different fonts used, and different styles, etc.  For crew, they are mostly the same, mostly.  The 3 producers are the same, just listed in a different order.  There are 2 directors in the first set, 3 in the second set, only 1 of which in both sets.  For the cast, that’s another story.  The first set has 19 actor names with no roles.  The second set has 11 actor names with roles, 9 of which are also in the first set.

So, what would be the best way to credit this?  Merge the 2 crew lists, since they’re almost identical anyway?  For the cast, should I start with set 2 since they have roles and follow it with the remains of set 1 (those that weren’t already listed from set 2), leaving the roles blank?

Thoughts?

My first thought when I was running thru the credits was to use dividers, but when there only turned out to be 2 sets of credits instead of 6, there is no way to determine which credits are for which episodes.  I checked out those links and they didn't really shed any light on the subject.  The tv.com site does list cast per episode, but it's a generic cast list and not episode specific.  I found this entry under one of the DVD's episodes on tv.com:
    Terri Hawkes (Cheer Bear, Hugs Bear, Shreeky)
    Tracey Moore (Cheer Bear (Before Shreeky episodes))
Now, I'm no Care Bear expert...I have no idea if this episode came before or after Shreeky.    So, that still leaves me with my original question.
