Neil Young is sometimes credited as Bernard Shakey.

Wiki
Neil Young Filmography
Shakey Pictures

Hope this is sufficient evidence that they are indeed the same person.

The CLT results is;
Bernard Shakey - 20/25
Neil Young - 97/183.

Actually, No it doesn't.

Shakey Pictures actually makes them look like two distinct individuals. Quote from an article there:

""Linc Volt" a film by Neil Young, is in production at Shakey Pictures, under the direction of Bernard Shakey, produced by L.A. "

Sounds like two different people to me .

The other two links would suffice though .

Doing a google search using "Neil Young Bernard Shakey" comes up with a lot of hits of reviews of Bernard Shakey documentaries where it's listed as an alias of Young. Bernard Shakey is listed as the director of CSNY Deja Vu, yet in this Billboard interview where Niel talks about the film, Bernard shakey is listed as his alias as well

Seriously?

Being an avid Neil Young fan I know for a fact that his pseudonym is Bernard Shakey, but I acknowledge the fact that this needs to be documented in regard to DVD Profiler.

However, I cannot see any evidence that they are two different people in any of the links I provided!

Are you just being difficult, or are you seriously suggesting that they are not the same?

No, Max is simply saying that the quote from the Shakey Pictures site seems to suggest that they are two people because of the way it's written.
He's not saying you're wrong, just that one of your sources isn't as clear as you think.
As Max continues to say though, "The other two links would suffice".

No problem .

I'm in 100% agreement with you. As North said, I just found the Shakey article unclear as to whether Neil Young and Bernard Shakey were two distinct people the way it was written .

I actually read this as an attempted play on words. Usually "a film by" means "directed by", so "a film by Neil Young" would indicate he directed the film. "Under the direction of Bernard Shakey" also indicates that Bernard Shakey directed the film. So, you could infer that Neil Young = Bernard Shakey, unless there were two directors for the film.
