I don't know if they're the same but my personal opinion is that they are -

Both voiced Command & Conquer games
Both voiced Star Wars games
Both voiced LotR games

Yes, it could be a complete coincidence but also considering both are sometimes credited as James K Ward, James Ward or Jim Ward, my gut says it's the same person.

Not that helpful I know but just thought I'd through in my thoughts.

I have the email for the Jim Ward who is on Wikipedia; I'll ask him if he's also the FINDING NEMO dude.

OK, I have received a gracious email response from Mr. Ward.  He is the voice actor whose real name is James K. Ward but he is usually credited as Jim Ward.  dob is May 19, 1959.  Among his many voice roles, the ones that he confirmed for me are these:

FINDING NEMO
CARS
ULTIMATE AVENGERS
WOLVERINE
THE HOBBIT
LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS
RETURN TO CASTLE WOLFENSTEIN

He confirms he's done voices for a bunch of videogames too so FtR's gut is right.

However, he is apparently *not* the same as James M. Ward (despite what IMDB claims); he says that there is a cameraman by that name, who is not him.  "It's only caused a problem once when I got another Jim Ward's contract, but I caught it before it could cause any problems"

I have asked a followup about Spider-Man to confirm that's him.

In response to my question of whether he's the James K. Ward in Spider-Man as the Project Coordinator, he answered:

Quote:
Yes. I get killed in a bout 30 seconds.

So think that resolves this question.

Do you want to post the Common Name into Spider-Man, or shall I?

The Spider-Man profile for R1 making Jim Ward the common name for James K. Ward has been approved.  These were my contribution notes:

Quote:
Common name of Jim Ward added for James K. Ward, with "Jim Ward" being the most common form per credit lookup tool.  I confirmed that Jim Ward (voice actor for FINDING NEMO, etc etc etc) is the same person as James K. Ward (SPIDER-MAN) who is the same person as James Kevin Ward, by personal email from Mr. Ward, who confirmed that he has in fact been credited in these various ways and that he is the James K. Ward appearing in Spider-Man (though he also says he's killed off about 30 seconds after he appears).  Mr. Ward also confirms he did voices in LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS, CARS, RETURN TO CASTLE WOLFENSTEIN and ULTIMATE AVENGERS, among hundreds of other movies and anime, and numerous video games.  He is not, however, James M. Ward.  Based on two emails dated Oct. 1, 2008; if Gerri requires confirmation I can forward these emails to her though for obvious reasons protecting Mr Ward's privacy I don't want to copy them here.  I don't believe there are other "Jim Wards" in the database, but if need be Mr. Ward indicates his birth year is 1959 (NOT 1956 as IMDB states).

That was the only profile I have that had Mr Ward credited as something other than "Jim Ward" though, so if any other profiles are going to be linked for him (including the non-R1 versions of Spider-Man), someone else is going to have to do that; maybe you can include a link to this post as part of your verification notes?  Hate to have to reinvent the wheel for this every time.
