It should be possible to bypass the print preview entirely and go directly to the printer

Ignore what I wrote.  I was literally missing the big picture.
Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here.

dav4is is right - I've never noticed before but when you run your report it says "Print Preview" at the top.
So I guess the request is to add an extra button: as well as "Run report" we have "Print report" too, which runs the report but sends it straight to the printer instead of to the screen.

as northbloke wrote.
If you report this as the print preview window of the reports. The title is perhaps not 100%: It is the build report that is showing in that window and serves allso as the print preview. DVD Profiler has to make that document before it can print it, so why not show it, you know if it will take 20 or more pages and if the result is what you want.
Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions.

But once you have worked out the details for making the report, we don't need to be shown the preview any more, eh?

I like having the print preview come up first.  Sometimes (often, I must confess) I am sloppy in selecting titles I want to print.  When the Preview comes up I see that I've asked to print a large number of pages I didn't really want -- and can quit without sending the stuff to the printer.  It's hard to stop a print job that's already in the cue -- and I don't want to waste paper printing stuff I was too dumb to exclude.  That's why I prefer the Preview function.  [I can't tell you the number of times I've printed scores of pages from Excel because I didn't Preview it first.]

Yes, bypassing the print preview should be OPTIONAL.

In my case, using FinePrint, a separate print preview makes little sense and is just another obstacle to getting things done.
