My copy of "Les sept samouraïs - edition collector" comes with a slip cover.
The scan stored in the db is that of the inside keep-case (same as mine)

Since the rules say to provide the slip cover if there is one, I submitted it.
Got a "nay" vote saying that "the cover is already the good one !!!! don't change it !!!!!", plus a red-arrow for quoting the rules.

Submission turned down without further explanation.

UPC : 3-530941-012581

On a side note, we have to say why we vote "no", it would be nice if the same was true for turned down submissions.

The rule for slip covers only applys to original releases. The title in question may have been originally released without a slip cover.

Yep, it can only be added into the database for the original release. Sometimes studios will actually reissue them with Slip Covers. Fox has done that a lot recently with 3-D lenticular slip covers to older discs. You can of course always add it to your local database, just don't contribute it...

That's certainly undeserved.  How can quoting the rules be considered offensive or abusive?

If you can find out whether or not the release you have (WITH slipcover) is the original release, then you can act accordingly:
if yours IS the original release: resubmit your cover scan and make sure to explain in your contribution notes how you verified this to be the ORIGINAL release;
if yours ISN"T the original release: you're free to keep your cover scan local, but please don't submit it to the central database.

A red arrow for quoting the rules is of course ridiculous.
