| Posted: | | | | Hello all. I currently use a Palm PDA but the Mobile DVD PRofiler doesnt seem to support Palm. I desparately need mobile capabilities, so I will just have to break down and buy another unit.
My question is this: What mobile device is used by my fellow DVD Profilers? I would appreciate brands and model numbers so that I can research them before I buy.
Thanks so much for the help!! |

| Posted: | | | | HP iPAQ hx2790 Pocket PC (Windows Mobile 5.0) for me and very happy... but any in the series will be fine, I just always wanted the fingerprint reader security FWIW they do have a niggle whereby they turn themselves on ever X minutes to check their network-system and this can run down the battery but there is a workaround well documented on the Net that turns off this "feature" | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | Just make sure whatever mobile PC you get has enough memory. While I now have an iPAQ hx2495b like 8ballMax - and like him I'm very happy with it - I used to have an iPAQ rz1700. The rz1700 only had 16MB of memory which wasn't enough to run DVDPM.
The only thing I have against the 2495 is its price. It isn't the cheapest pocket PC around. But will hold both an SD card and a Compact Flash card at the same time - so you can have a whole lot of file storage space. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges.
