Okay, I'm trying to audit Casper meets Wendy.  UPC: 024543048701  Pauses for laughter.  I'm having a slight problem.  The cover doesn't match mine, which can be explained by being an earlier release and the UPC being reused.  I wanted to double check, just to make sure that I had the later copy, not the first release.

I went to Amazon where I found both covers released on the same day.  This one and
this one.

The only difference I can see is that one specifies that it's full screen and the other doesn't.  There is one other listing for Casper meets Wendy UPC 024543-048718.  That cover matches the one that is in the database.  I do suspect that mine is the newer one, but can anyone help me confirm this?  Since these look like they were released on the same day, should I reenter mine as a separate profile?

Does anyone have the dvd that is shown in the first upc I gave?  Maybe one is widescreen and the other full screen?

Thanks for the help!

If they both came out the same day, with the same UPC and different covers, then the first one that got entered into the database becomes the original contribution, assuming both are identical except for the cover art.  However, if one is widescreen and one is full screen, then you could use the Disc ID for the version that is NOT in the database.

If both are identical however, you can update the profile but don't update the cover art.

Note:  I looked at both Amazon entries, and they appear to be the same except that one is listed at 94 min. and the other at 100 min.  Not really enough info to go on.

I've been looking and so far they look like they were released on the same day, but there's no difference to them.  I'll just update what I can confirm from the back cover if there's differences between the one in the database and mine.

Cast and crew should be the same, though, right?  I shouldn't worry that there'll be differences?

Looks like they should be identical, just issued with different cover art.  Had the same problem with "Sin City" when it came out.  Had three or four different slipcase covers but the disc was identical in each.

Fun...and yes, that was my sarcastic voice!  *grins*  You know, I can see Sin City having different cover art, but Casper meets Wendy?  Just can't see why'd they would want to do that for a kids film...thanks for the help, John.

Hi all.

Didn't want to start a new topic and since a forum search didn't provide information, I decided to ask here. I'm a complete newbie with DVDP, but I rushed head on and already contributed some profiles. Shouldn't have done that. I used too much IMDb, didn't scan cover images etc. and I apologize for that.

So my question is this: is there a way to delete all my contributions by myself or through moderators? Because at their current state my contributions are bound to have errors, so it would be best to delete them all to spare everyone the trouble of "No"-voting. I'll be more thorough in the future and follow the contribution rules.

Goto your contribution page, click on the title in question(Left hand side), up pops a "Withdraw" option at the over end(Right hand side), click withdraw. Done.

Ah, I must be blind to have missed that option. Thank you! I promise I'll behave in the future.

Welcome to the madness. Contrary to what it may seem like around here sometimes evrybody's allowed to make a mistake every now again. Don't worry about asking if anything's unclear.

Jeez, lighten up, will ya? It's tiresome that the two of you jump at every possibility to sting each other...

But that's the way it used to be at IVS as well, so I think it's a deeper running problem with the two of you that everybody else just has to cope with....
