| Posted: | | | | Thanks Tom. Just played with it a little and wanted to confirm my suspicion that the editor does not automatically import or export directly into V3 and we have to use the clipboard as a go-between.
I found a bug while playing. I copied 24 Season 1 Disc 1 to the clipboard, imported into CCE. I made no changes other than to add a title. Then copied to clipboard and pasted into a temporary profile in my wishlist. The middle name of Penny Johnson Jerald (only actor with a middle name for these 4 episodes) propagated to every actor after her all the way down the cast list. Tried it again and pasted the xml into notepad and the middle name is in every role after the first middle name it hits. Tried it with a different cast list and the error reproduces. The second cast list had more actors with middle names and no episode dividers and each "new" middle name is assigned to each empty middle name until it hit a new one.
Thought you'd want to know. | | | Kevin |

Yes, I forgot to disable this in Profiler 3 mode. I have nothing planned here. The current implementation for this has cost me some sleepless nights. If I do a redesign, it will be as a Profiler plugin and then this will be much easier to handle. Quote: I found a bug while playing Thanks. I have fixed it. Today and tomorrow I will go through the code and will make some adjustments (e.g. adjust the field limitations to Profiler 3). It would be good if bug reports are coming in soon. This way I can put those fixes into the next release. Also: Have I disabled all relevant menu items in Profiler 3 mode? I haven't tried it yet, but I think the localized crew function will not work. I have disabled language support in Profiler 3 mode. The import of title is fixed. EpisodeNo, OriginalTitle and Airdate is not supported in Profiler 3 mode. It was only relevant for collecting Cast & Crew data for my Viewer.

| Posted: | | | | Got to Tom's site and click on "!!! Trouble-Shooting !!!". (or just scroll down to the bottom) You will find : "Microsoft Office Web Components" is needed. If you get the error Component 'OWC10.dll' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: A File is missing or invalid then you can download it for free from Microsoft. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. | Posted: | | | | I can't export the data to Profiler 3.1.0
Every time i export the data to DVD profiler the following text apears
"An error has encountered Make sure that DVD profiler is running, the title to wich you want to export selected and that you ar not in edit mode".
All the data I have I took from IMDB using Dougweb's DVDFolks' 0.8.3 I imported it in Cast & Crew editor. everything works perfect but I when I click on the buttom export to DVD profiler. The text above apears in a new window.
When I copy the data to the clipboard and then in the edit profile of DVD profiler on the cast tab I rightclick and select past all cast the following text appears. "ERROR: the clipboard does not contain vallid cast information.
Can someone ASAP help me I'm completely lost. and to be honnest I'm not that good in computers eather.
Thanks for an early response

And also, if this feature is selectable that means that you are running my Editor in Profiler 2 mode. You'll have to switch to Profiler 3 mode (Settings->Profiler 3 mode). And then export the data to the clipboard and paste them yourself in the cast edit window in Profiler 3. Make sure you are using the current version of my editor and switch to Profiler 3 mode.

Hi Tom, First, thanks for this program and the work you put into it. I am new to this editor and using version 1.5.5 and after using it successfully to fill a cast list for a profile, I am running into a "character not found" error message which sometimes even prevents the Editor window from closing. Could you tell me what this means and what I could be doing wrong. Thanks in advance Best Regards JCT |

As I have written the Editor initially for DVD Profiler 2, I had written an XML Export which was using "us-ascii" character set, like Profiler 2 did. As I didn't really plan to support Profiler 3, I had not changed the export format. Therefore only characters which are possible in us-ascii encoded XML are allowed (Latin alphabet + the characters you see in Tools->Character Set).
