I think this has been discussed but can't find it (sorry).

What was the final 'ruling' on when someone is credited as "Voice of X" or "Additional voices"? Was it considered correct to add the 'voice' checkbox as the character was obviously voice only, or was this considered "flippin' obvious and unnecessary so should not be done"?

TIA

We used to do this, but we now follow the rules more closely and only use (voice) for animated films.

Actually I believe we DO do it now for non-animated because even though Ken hasn't changed the Rules yet he has specifically said he wants it done this way. Skip stated this in this thread:

and I have no reason to think he'd make it up!

What I was asking was, in an animated film if the role is "Additional Voice" do we also check the voice checkbox as it seems superfluous?

Actually the whole idea of using (voice) for animated films was brought up before as seeming superfluous.  However with the new version you can easily edit your profile by just editing the cast list by right click "Toggle all Voice".

Personally having Various Voices (voice) type credits doen't bother me that much, plus I believe there was reason for going to check boxes for (voice) and (uncredited) for future program developement.

Seems logical; I'll buy that... just wanted to check!
