I bought myself a couple of weird DVDs. They are double sided, one side PAL, the other NTSC (otherwise both sides are the same).

Any ideas how to contribute this? You can only choose either PAL or NTSC, not both.

Assuming they are legitimate DVDs (I've never heard of this before), I'd choose whichever is the regular system for the locality in which they were released.

Certainly a strange situation. You see the odd title where an inappropriate system is used (the UK release of Sex and the City S1 is, or at least was originally, NTSC for example), but I've never seen a combo.

I agree with Nadja, both in his suggestion and the strangeness!

As a matter of interest what are the titles/localities?

They are both from the same company.

The Stranger: Summoned By Shadows
The Stranger: More Than A Messiah

They are British made, with a BBFC PG cert.

They are marked Region 0 PAL/NTSC

The company that makes then is called BBV

p.s. Thanks for the quick replies

Thanks for posting.

Make it a box set, then add one side as PAL and the other as NTSC using disc ids.

Seems the best option. However, should the parent profile be PAL or NTSC

Good one

Personally I'd go with PAL since BBV is a UK company but I wouldn't argue with either

I think it should be a PAL only profile, with a note that the disc has NTSC on the other side - I guess in the disc descriptions section.

This is not a boxset, it is single movie - and even if you set it up as a boxset, you still have to select PAL/NTSC in the master profile.

To me this is no different to a double sided disc with widescreen on one side and P&S on the other - we don't do boxsets for those, and I don't think we should for this.
