Just noticed yesterday that DVD Profiler hangs up on Refresh Updated Profiles and the only way to get out of it is to kill the running process.

There is a little popup with an "unexpected end of file" in the background. Drag it and close it, then it should work.

Awesome! Thanks for your help. Didn't notice that popup before.

Does this issue block updating profiles?

It looks like it stops trying to connect after closing the "unexpected end of file" dialog. I did the Ctrl+Click Online Profile List thing, and that didn't connect. Then I did the manual profile list update as indicated in the Knowledge Base.

I still get this issue each time I open the app, and I have not seen any profile updates since the site came back online.

I have the same problem. I tried to reinstall but the error "Unsuspected end of file" keeps on returning.

Same thing for me as well. The Website looks like it is struggling a bit - both invelos.com and dvdprofiler.com url's are active but https certs are not enabled, which may be why the client is struggling to talk to them.

Cert renewals are easy, so perhaps this is something else. Even if it's a few more days, would really love an official update and expectation for resolution, as I use DVDP daily.

I get the popup each time as well, even though everything works fine otherwise. I got one profile update after the server maintenance though.

I don't remember the website or application ever using HTTPS. It's always been just unsecured plaintext for as long as I can remember.

This has been happening to me for a few days now as well. Thought it was because I was using an older laptop, but have reinstalled the program and get the same error message, "Unexpected end of life". Happens with trying to update individual profiles and trying to update the refresh online profile option as well.

Not resolved at all I'm still getting this error I can not add new items to my collection because of it. The online profile list is unavailable. I've tried reinstalling but still get the unexpected end of file message. pops up for refreshing dvd's as well.

Hallo,

Hello,

Because of the problem with the POP UP, I also reinstalled the DVD Profiler and had the same problem.
But in the "Extras" tab under Options there is a folder called "Online". If you check the “Use half-duplex internet connection” box, the little POP up no longer appears. The database then starts to load and crashes with the error message "Cannot load file. Continue anyway?"
Below it says "If the error still occurs, check your internet connection"

My internet connection is fine. This problem only occurred after maintenance on the weekend from February 23rd to 25th, 2024. The site was online again on February 26th.

Maybe that will help.

Same for me. Can't refresh profiles or add a new DVD. Just hangs forever since the website update. BALLS
