You are both right; this particular profile contains rating details for the old rating system (which has never published rating details). People seem to keep mixing things up

Both right? I think you misunderstood what Forget_the_Rest meant, because he thinks you are wrong and RaymondG is right.

Having read again I think you're absolutely right. So forget about Forget_the_Rest

As a L.E.O. I think it's not important how to read the rules. Stick to the rules as they are. Nothing more nothing less.
Error may be made (sometimes I forget there is a rule for something) But the rules are specific.
Besides that, isn't it the purpose of the contribution to add specific information that can be used by DVD-P users? The rating details can add something more for parental use. IMHO. And therfore per rule allowed.
What I read on this Thread is more like a Clash of the Titans.   Non of the Titans want to give in!

OK, this is DVD Profiler,. Not tv-broadcast Profiler. So why do so many people want wrongful information to be entered in the database? We just don't know for sure if rating details coming from tv-broadcast also apply for dvd. And certainly not when the dvd is rated AL while the tv-broadcast in rated 12 as is the case with Beverly Hills Cop (both dvd and tv-broadcast are kijkwijzer-rated, so far for objective rating......)

In my opinion is is only confusing to bring this rating details to the database. If users want to use this information they can store it in thier local database.

IMHO, the whole field should have been a non-contributable one. As it is, I think we should just follow the rules, without different users making up different kinds of exceptions that other users have no way of knowing about.

If you read the rules there is NO rule aggainst puting this information in the DB. To avoid discussions like this one. Let us all stick to our own local DB and not add something usefull at all in the future. That is what you say between the lines Jeronimo. And if this is DVD-Profiler what the  do TV series in the DB?
There is always some one aggainst something. Aspecialy aggainst rules. And the Dutch are known for it  Always using the index finger. What makes a small country big.

One can ask himself the following questions:
Is the contribution aggainst the rules? Y/N
Is using these ratingdetails in some way usefull for DVD-P users? Y/N
If the answer in both cases is yes then what are we in the  name  talking about.

Btw L.E.O is a know abbreviation in the US. Seek and though shall find. http://www.leo.gov/
