Mutiple titles per disc side is handled through the use of dividers. Right now, that's the only way to handle it as DVD Profiler keys on UPC/EAN or Disc ID.

If the _only_ unique key is UPC/Disc ID, how can we have several completely different profiles in database with same UPC/Disc ID? My opinion is that the unique key is a combination of UPC/Disc ID + Locality. If we now have a unique key as a combination of two fields, how difficult would it be to have a combination of three fields? Third field could be a running number, as some one else suggested earlier in this thread. Every day we have more releases eather having 2 or more movies on same side or DVDs using seamless branching to have several versions of the same movie in a same disc, for excample theatrical cut and directors cut.

I know that this feature has been requested several times before, but for a good reason, some (many) of us really need this feature to profile our collection "properly". And no, dividers aren't the solution for this issue. They work fine with TV-series, but with movies they are at the moment just a (poor) workaround.

Granted, Kulju, and none of us will tell you otherwise. BUT it is what we have at the moment, and a fiuz has been requested several times over the last 18 months since 3.1 came out. Notice i said requested, not once but many times and possible methods of doing so have been discussed as well. No one has previously made a demand or made a disparaging remark about HIS view of DVDProfiler. The request has been cussed, discussed and recussed, now all we can do is sit back and wait for Ken to create HIS solution, which I have absolutely no doubt we will see in Ken's due time...not ours. I repeat it took it us FIVE years fromm the time that I saw better Crew data first requested to when we finally got something and it didn't make ONE bit of difference how many times it was brought up in that FIVE years, it came out when Ken was ready...not one minute before.

So, what's the bottom line...this is not anything new and i am sure weill see it...someday. In the meantime be patient.

Excellent post.  You hit the nail right on the head.  What we have now is a workaround which does buy us a bit in terms of TV series, but is much less than ideal for profiling multiple movies where there are more likely to be differences in runtime, genres, etc...

I am sure Ken will eventually address this one, but there's certainly no harm in asking for it and supporting others who do.  Ken wouldn't have a feature request forum if he didn't want user input.

Bottom line, and I don't want to be rude or inpolite, is that if Ken would share every now and then his ideas about if he likes the suggested features at all, we wouldn't have go over and over these same issues again and again. During Intervocative times program was great, but communication with the community (customers) sucked. When Invelos was founded, communication came back in picture and everything looked great for a month or so.

Now we have better program compared to Intervocative days, but the communication between Invelos and customers is againg as non-existent as it was during the Intervocative days.    Anyone who knows anything about business world knows that the good communication between customer and a company is a key element for good business.

Continuing to complain about how Ken isn't sharing his ideas doesn't seem to be helping to increase the communication between Invelos and us users, so I don't see that these comments are producing the result you want.
