Quit attacking this program...

Please, can you quote anything from me attacking this program ? On the contrary, I always wrote this is a marvellous program, and I use it intensively.

On another point which has nothing to do with the program itself, I wrote that I regret we have a so bad online database, and I gave my opinion on how to improve it. Even if some users do not agree with me, I do not see why you would forbid me to try to make things change in a better way.

And why are people "unwilling to work within the rules" ? Just because they are lazy, naughty, or are terrorists (as suggested by another user) ?

Try to think to the reasons, taking in account that this system is opened to thousands of users all around the world, with different cultures, and with some of them unable to understand rules written in English. So they just follow what the program asks them in their own language, try to contribute using their common sense, and get bunches of no votes (since common sense is the last thing to match with rules) that are as many brandings for them. Then they stop contributing... Nothing lazy, nothing naughty with them, they just became disgusted.

Uh Huh, i see a lot of manipulation of the database outside the rules in your list, Yves. But then i am not surprised. You are creating global problems with your Contributions because you are very clearly ignoring the rules, as you manipulate things your way. Or is that your sorting of James Bond Films.

I see your comment as a completely unfounded accusation. And that against a user who is actually contributing...

Just on the whole "obvious" part, I've never heard of "Trailer Park Boys" until this thread.

Surfeur51 - I just read in another thread that the way you included 007 as the first part of the title should not have been accepted.

Just a friendly FYI.  Your mileage may vary.

Dr. Killpatient,

As has been previously mentioned, the 007 part of the title was not part of the contribution. Those are his local titles. I can't attest to all of them, but I downloaded and checked one, and it looked totally correct.

You would have a lot more credibility if you played the game within the rules and worked for change instead of your endless carping.

I give my opinion about the global effects on contributors, which are bad. I will not alone fill the database in my zone/country for DVD I do not own.

As for my credibility, you should rather think to yours.

*Image removed*

Colour me confused...

Exactly what is this screen cap supposed to prove regarding your credibility?! It states nothing regarding the changes you have made to said profiles, and with your constant pissing and moaning about the rules in mind, I wouldn't take them as valid even if you tried to convince me...

But hey - that's just my opiniion...

I take all those things in to account, which is why I try to make my no vote comments as helpful as possible.  If the user comes here, to ask for clarification, I will offer what I can.  We have helpful users here, from all over the world, and I have seen them offer help as well.  Help can be found if one wants it.

In addition, this is an English based program.  If a user buys the program, and doesn't read English well, they have to make allowances.  Simply ignoring the rules, and doing it their way, then getting frustrated, because their way was incorrect, doesn't make any sense to me.  I mean, I comprehend the English language quite well and I didn't jump right in and start contributing.  I waited until I understood what was going on first.  I can't imagine doing it when I don't understand the language...but that's just me.

I'm a little confused.  Do people not contribute, because;

They do not understand the rules, because it is not in there native tongue or
The rules are at times stupid and not have enough leeway for personal preference in the online?

You have given us 2 reasons.  The first, can be a very valid problem.  Is there space for local (valid) translations of the rules on invelos.  This problem probably could be remedied, with permission from ken, and a few bilingual people to translate.

As for the second problem, rules are rules, and no matter how many times you say tyrannical, they are not going to change easily.

Nice touch, Skip. I see you're upholding the old Western tradition of shooting first and asking questions later. Maybe we should all put "Or maybe not" in our signatures. That way we can all accuse each other of anything and still have a universal disclaimer to fall back on.

Or maybe not.

I am not sure what the image was supposed to prove, other than you contributed a lot of titles today.  It can't add, or detract, from your credibility as it does not show whether or not you "played the game within the rules and worked for change instead of your endless carping," as Skip put it.

When I share images, I get thanks, and when I contribute, I get attacks and suspicion. Just to be totally transparent, I shall send the same image with screeners results, and shall give all the reasons of no votes and refused contributions.

Then I shall definitively stop contributing. I'm fed up with hatred. That will be "Why people don't contribute reason #3,762"

Why quote me and group me in with those perceived as attacking you?

I was NOT attacking you.

Did you notice that I was just bringing information to your attention?  Did you notice that when I was corrected, I striked it out?

Quit being a victim.
