I just got mine yesterday and I'm preparin an ultra hi-res Cover Scan of the back. I don't plan to submit it as I am staying with the 3D Front Cover. If anyone wants my scan of the back drop me a note and i will be happy to forward it. It looks like its going to be very good.

Is there any way we can compel skip to submit his ultra hi-res scans, despite the fact that he prefers the rules-violating version?

Skip,

Are you making a new hi-quality 3-D image of the front as well? If so I'd also be interested.

And in a general sense, would also be in favor of changing the rule to allow for 3-D images for cases like this. Or the ability to have alternate cover images for each title could be used to give a choice of 3-D or flat

Here is my report, the first pass came out rather spectacularly, gorgeous would seem to be the right adjective. However, I am NOT entirely pleased with it yet, the case seems just a hair too big for MY scanner bed, so I intend to fiddle some more with, the first one took me four hours to clean up.<groan> So give me some time.

This was the same problem I had.  I attempted to a high quality scan as soon as it arrived and was dismayed to find whoever designed the case made it about 1/2 inch longer than your typical scanner bed.  It would fit a scanner designed to scan legal size paper just fine, though, but unfortunately mine is not.  The only way to try and get a good scan would be to scan 1/2 and 1/2 and try to merge the images but after several tries I gave up on trying to sync them and match the coloring/shadows.

Skip, if you have scanned the front since the time you sent me the first mail, I'd love to have a copy of this mail.
