I am happy to say I am seeing some improvement in my leg today. I am getting around a little bit without my walking stick some... the physical therapy exorcises are going easier with me today... and best of all I haven't taken a single pain pill today yet! I don't know what kind of turn the day will take... but I am pretty pleased with myself so far today.

First thing tomorrow morning I go back to the doctors to get the stitches taken out of my knee. I can't wait for him to see how good I am doing only a week past my surgery. I am now walking pretty good (slight limp) and haven't even use my crutches or cane in the past couple days. It does start hurting again if I am on my feet for too long (20 min to a half hour) But I seldomly stay on my feet that long.

Well I just got back from getting the stitches out (and doing other errands). Healing wise I am right on track. I asked when I can return to work and I was told we won't even discuss that till the next visit! Too soon to even talk about it! OK so when is my next appointment? November 19th!!! That means at the very least I have 4 more weeks off from work! And then we can talk about when they will let me go back to work.

They were also sure to put a scare into me. I asked about when I can start going on my walks again. Was told I can start now but limit myself. They said to be very careful not to over do it. I can easily mess up the work they did on my knee. And they also told me that in the weeks to come I will feel like I am completely recovered and that I can do anything I used to do. She said don't believe it! When I think I am healed that I still have weeks of healing to do yet!

One of my favorite things to do has always been to take walks/hike. I have not been able to do this since I originally hurt my knee up over 2 months ago. Well today I am going to attempt my first walk. Don't worry I will take it slow and easy. But I so really want to get back out there... and doctor did say it was time to start walking a little.

Today (about 2 weeks after surgery) I finally was able to walk enough to actually leave the trailer park for a while. But don't worry I didn't over do it. I managed it the whole time with feeling no pain. Well that is until I got home and rested a little while then there was very little soreness. But over-all I am happy.... feel like I did good.
