Quote: I guess it just doesn't make sense to me that in one case a VOICE banner gets a group divider and in another the same VOICE banner would get an episode divider. Basically if only part of the cast is in that voice banner it gets a group divider since it is only a group within the entire cast. When it is the entire cast of a movie within a banner it gets episode divider. This is done a lot for stuff like Anime where it lists an English cast as well as a Japanese cast. These are closer related episodes or more then one movie per Disc then it is to a group within a cast... so he opted to go with episode dividers in that case. Also episode dividers wouldn't indent the cast like group dividers do since it isn't needed. Quote: As I told you yesterday in a PM you have a lot more experience than I with TV sets and divided cast so I'll trust your interpretation, even though it once again give us more of the if this then that stuff that makes the rules confusing. No problems... I was just trying to explain what I was saying. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I agree that these situations should use multiple group dividers rather than a mix of episode and group dividers. Ideally, nested group dividers would be cool. | | | ...James

| Posted: | | | | Episode deviders look okay, but since we're also using deviders now in crew, that doesn't really look the same. Having an episode devider for "Skywalker Sound" then a group devider for "Sound Editors". This will give a whole list of Crew posts to be filled, like music, producer, art etc. |

I didn't invision group dividers to for grouping "Sound Editor", but more for grouping companies under a specific heading. Charlie |

So, with kens one suggestion of "cybertronics" "Cybertronics-Supernerds" etc How do you do cybertronics after the supernerds? Do you now enter another Cybertronics group to finish the list for Cybertronics? April, Matt and Sabrina are still part of Cybertronics, and to get the proper credit would need another group. | Posted: | | | | The other question, I have - Who put the episode dividers in to begin with? From what I understand about the rules directly, this was never there intentional use.
We need a solution, to work within what we have available. Does anybody have a reasonable suggestion, that would actually cover 95% of these situations, without a real mess and argument every time somebody makes a contribution?
I know, as profilers, we will argue anyway. It is our nature. But we need to have something.....

Charlie My point is that yes, it start a whole new crew list, but if you have listed both Supervising Editors and Editors under Skywalker Sound, you'll have to use an episode devider to nest the group deviders used for the different sound groups in the nest Not pulling hair yet, not untill the no votes fall in on my contributions | | | Last edited: by Gemini76 |

| Posted: | | | | Another thought. In A.I. is Cybertronics truly a group (Or birthday party, or Flesh Fair), or is it more of a division.
I always felt that the group dividers for cast were more for;
Gang a Actor Actor
Gangs Actor Actor
To me there is no difference. In A.I you also have a division titled "AND" with actors underneath.
Maybe in all realism, these do not fit under either category, and per the rules really should be excluded (as they really do not add anything to the actor role)
A possible opinion for AI
