At this moment I'm not at my home, and I will be out for a week, so I can't control the DVD, but if I've done some errors I'm glade to see a newer contribution from moviman. I've replied his mail this afternoon, and, yes, I remember many details about the film credits because I've contributed the DVD just two or three days ago. I ask myself why he don't check the dvd to verify my data?
Anyway, I'm really sorry about all this mess. If movieman is understood correctly, the whole discussion is not about whether your contribution is correct or not, but about whether you were allowed to do this change. Since you stated that you own the DVD it is no question that you were allowed to correct it, the rest should have been a matter of the evaluation process. But since movieman (if he read your post) now should know that you actually own this DVD (with locality Belgium) and still insists on his POV (Foreigners are not allowed to change Belgian profiles), I think it's best to leave him alone here. Because the other conclusion (except of accute infantilism) that can be drawn from this behaviour is not half as nice. Anyhow I'm quite sure that it wasn't your fault (except if you removed correct data), so please recheck your contribution. Oh, and BTW could you please publish one or the other UPC in question? | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | This sounds like the exact opposite of some of the threads we've seen complaining that "smaller" localities don't have enough contributors.
As long as you have the disc & the data is valid then no-one should complain that you're trying to help the database. |

| Posted: | | | | Wow, this all seems like a huge misunderstanding to me. There is nothing wrong contributing profiles from different locations, I am german and more than 70 % of my collection is from different countries. And hell yes, I contribute the profiles from different locations,as I own the DVDs For example I changed the scan of a Metalpack, I got 2 YES and 4 NO votes, do i have a problem with that, hell no The profile was accepted, the scan not. No problem with that, I keep the scan local and all is fine We all should have a bit thicker skin, no need to quit because of one or two misunderstandings, would have quit my work years ago then all lighten up a bit Donnie | | | www.tvmaze.com | | | Last edited: by DarklyNoon |

| Posted: | | | | I thought I would have a looksee in the Database to get my heard around what is happening, the odd thing is that there seems to be two entries for the Belgium locality for 'A Perfect Murder' one of them with a UPC of 7-321900-166430 from the supplied coverscans is actually a UK Locality DVD (the cover scans have BBFC certification logo and actually exists as a UK Locality entry with that UPC), could this be part of the confusion?

| Posted: | | | | Well, I think the problem here is that you didn't like something and came to the forum to discuss it, but you never fully explained the whole scenario and then suddenly decided to delete your posts. I can't see this being of any use for the users that come to this thread/forum. I still don't fully know what the problem was that made you start this thread. You never fully explained it and we are all just guessing and assuming what happened. If you want answers to a problem you should explain it in full, but instead you are deleting your posts and even ask how to delete your contributions. Do you honestly think the users would come and applaud your behavior? |
