^ I agree but it seems the majority of others do not, thus these details are being removed...

Thank you, I know since I'm doing some of the removing.

If a DVD or BD title is NOT RATED (NR), it means it was not rated by the MPAA...period. NR titles should not have any Rating Details. If you wish to have Rating Details to determine whether a movie might be appropriate for your teenage son , then you should purchase the Rated Theatrical Release version of the title if one is available. Otherwise, any rating details added to a NOT RATED (NR) title should be kept local only. This is only my opinion of course.

I would disagree. Why should the use of the rating details be restricted to MPAA rated films only?  I do not see this in the rules.  I have unrated DVDs that contain rating details from the box that were never rated but the details are persent.

Comes to mind right away.  Not rated but contains Rating Details.  There was never a MPAA rated version but there are rating details on the back cover.  I believe in the case of NR films the rating details are valid data still and should not be removed.  T

I agree with you here, if there is an unrated DVD, that has a rating description on it, fill it in, nothing wrong with that
