I almost get the feeling that some people who voted to use Publisher in this field didn't fully grap what they voted on as I see a lot of ambiguety in the votingpatterns on these contributions  | | | My DVD's

Where there is both a DVD Production Company and a DVD Distributor in the profile already, I've been moving the DVD Production Company to the Media Publisher field and just leaving the DVD Distributor alone. Once Ken releases 3.5.1, it can then be moved to the "DVD Co's." field , but the data won't be lost in the meantime. | | | | Hal |

| | Posted: | | | | The term "Publish" within the DVD industry is uncommon, but it is certainly used and definitely has a meaning. It's the company that actually produces (this does not necessarily mean author) the DVD, rather than distributes it. |

While I undserstand what you are saying, north, as Ken has noted himself there are already THOUSANDS of profiles which have appropriately moved the distributor to the new field. What do others think? No, the studio field is reserved for film and theatrical release companies. DVD companies are not allowed in this field any more. |

But if somebody does correct them, you can't vote No. |
